This one is perfect for a family. Safety is awesome and it has lots of space for passenger seating and overall it is spacious. I did not like the old navigation unit though. It look stylish and... more

Advantages Advantages Spacious, economical to run with good handling. A fun ride.

I’d better warn you now that this isn’t going to be one of those very technical reviews that are done about cars. My technical knowledge ends roughly where the ignition key goes in and certainly doesn’t extend to putting petrol into the tank. When people talk about “overhead camshaft” I gaze upwards and wonder where it is. I’d simply like to tell you why we got the car, the good bits and the odd niggle. We’ve got two big dogs. When we had one dog and a Honda Civic the dog would get into the back of the car, and sit there quietly, until she was sick ... more

    Advantages Advantages Lovely drive, VFM

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Still very expensive

YIPPEEEEE!!!! There’s nothing quite like the glorious, naïve, rosy eyed, uncertain pleasure of getting a new car. A veritable rush of glee washes over you, filling your senses with an unquestioning feeling of outstanding well-being … the gleam, the sheen, the wonder machine … the robust, unflinching THUNK as well engineered door slams firmly shut with a reassuring feel of quality. It doesn’t last all that long, of course, so enjoy it while it lasts for pretty soon the novelty is over and it’s just a heap of metal, but for a while it least there’s nothing like it, so enjoy it while it lasts ... more

Advantages Advantages Nice looking car with practical benefits

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Rear visibility

I would not think of Honda when it comes to 4 X 4 jeep type off roaders. Landrover,Suzuki and Chrysler Jeep yes! it now seems every motor manufacturer wants to jump on the offroad bandwagon and build a 4 x 4. But the Honda CRV is a nice little car as well as an off roader. I compare it to the Rav 4 and BMW or Mercedes offering. Special edition models of popular cars usually add a number of extra equipment items for little extra cost and that's exactly what Honda offers with its HR-V 'Special Edition'. It comes in 2 flavours of Jeep. A 2 Wheel version and a 4WD version. The difference in Price ... more

Advantages Advantages A successful much loved vehicle

Disadvantages Disadvantages New models cause eyes to wander off to showrooms

Read any set of reviews and you'll find out the CR-V has a lot of friends - do the same for the Freelander and you find it has very few friends. The contrast between these two British built vehicles of similar vintage and some common parts could not be more stark. So I'm writing this without all the technical guff which others have already covered. It's written for the people out there thinking of getting a CR-V because the sad truth for owners is that some of them are now getting extremely cheap - £1500 - £2000. Even the 2001 second version with a revised look is down to £5000-£6000. Both ... more

    Advantages Advantages Lots of space

Disadvantages Disadvantages Would you use it to 4X4

After driving this vehicle even though it was only for an hour i quickly found out that this car has the Honda quality that they are well known for. A estate car that has the means to go off road for some 4x4 experience but i have never seen one on a 4x4 track and would be surprised if anyone would take it on one. As you can see from the picture the car has its own image and I wouldn't no how to describe it, it looks nice as a road car but has to much for a 4x4 car where you want the car to take bangs and crunches, i would be to worried about messing up the paint job. This has excellent boot ... more
