I have owned my CR-V for about 8 months, and have covered over 11k miles already. Its one of the older models, 1998 and is the base model. I bought it because it fits in well with my leisure activitys, camping, mountain biking and windsurfing, as well as owning a dog. This is my third Honda, and to be honest I would be retisent to buy any other brand of car in the future! The interior is comfortable, and functional, not packed with loads of gadgets but has got all of the things you need. Thi being the basic model, has got no A/C but has got an enormous sunroof, which is electric, and far more fun than A/C. 4 x Electric windows with one touch drop on the drivers door. Central locking but not remote on this model, but that suits me, as I can put the key in the pouch of my wetsuit with no worries! Comfortable hardwearing fabric seats offer loads of adjustment and you can recline the rear seats too! Massive boot space, and loads of underfloor storage as te spare is mounted on the back door, and the boot floor removes to become a picnic table, very useful! The tailgate opens glass first then the bottom gate, and this is more useful than you might think. Exterior styling is quite handsome I think, and you can see where Landrover stole the idea for the freelander. Part time 4 x 4 which operates when needed to help you out of trouble, and saves on fuel and tyres, probably wont ever take you across the Gobi dessert but then how many off roaders actually go off road? Mine is an Automatic and despite my fears is really quite good on fuel and easy to drive. The ride is comfortable and stable for a 4 x 4 with out the horrible seasick feel of some. Tyres arent that expensive, between £45 - £80 depending on where you go. Mine has done over 115k miles already, and looks and feels ready to do the same again. If you want a 4 x 4 type car but without the nastys attached, this is for you.
