The Honda Civic 1.8 VTi S reg. You have got to love it. The clean lines, the amazing acceleration, the comfy ride. All in all a fabulous car. We owned this car for 3 years and reluctantly traded it in. Fuel consumption wasn't brilliant but for 165 bhp what do you expect!
LOOKS Unless your a honda lover I guess you would think it looks like a grandads car. But to me the clean lines and almost mean looking front end just added to the class of the car. The car we had was red, not metallic, just red and it looked when polished absolutely amazing. The paint never faded and it just glistened. The roomy interior with half leather looked classy and expensive. For long journeys you could just sit there comfortably and watch the world pass by.
RELIABILITY After the 3 years we had it it never suffered from any mechanical problems. Just one small problem with the sun roof leaking. It started every time and after doing 13000 miles a year the engine still purred. 100% for Honda engineering.
SAFETY The Honda is built like a tank. We never had any crashes but the ride and feel of the civic make you feel extremely safe. The NCAP rating i think is 4 stars.
INSIDE You will fit 5 men in this car and it is comfortable on long journeys.
HANDLING Around the town buy a small car. The steering is quite heavy and the turning circle is tiny. Forget 3 point turn try 5. But out of town you couldn't find a more easy handling car. Just wait for that Vitec to kick in over 5000 rpm. It's like a bullet. For 300 miles combined you're looking at £30-£35 petrol. Which isn't bad but take it in the town and it guzzles petrol!
CUSTOMER SERVICE Honda were brilliant in every way but we only saw them at services and the one water leak, which was fixed in a day.
All in all, I would never have got rid of this car (all my husbands fault). Loved it.
Wish i was as happy with mine as you were with yours!! Glad you liked it!

OOOO now that would be telling. Mine or his. Mine 0-60 in a day!!! No I think if I remember rightly it's about (quick check topgear website) 15 sec ish!!
Now the honda well (poo off a shovel), you could get whiplash from the acceleration. Can't find the 0-60 for the 1.8 vti but the 1.6 vti (ever so slightly lower performance) does 0-60 in 8 sec. So maybe 6 sec.
He's just bought a toyota corolla T sport. He forgot to mention it has the same engine as the celica but in a smaller car (190bhp) whoooppeee

distinguished by their top quality at super low prices. We make the spacers on modern CNC machines from high quality aluminum. We offer a huge selection of sizes and designs for various models such as Alfa Romeo, Audi, BMW, Ferrari, Fiat, Honda, Jaguar, Lotus, Maserati, Mercedes Benz, Opel, VW and many more. The spacers are a must for any Tuningfan and optimal entry into the tuning range. Our systems for Spacers are available in versions A and B. The spacers provide for a wider wheel base which leads to an improvement in driving dynamics and design. Your vehicle is drawing less in the turns and there are higher cornering speeds. For system A, the spacers are fixed with bolts extended between the rim and hub. For system B, the spacers directly bolted to the wheel hub and the rim with 5 separate screws in the spacer. The assembly of the wheel spacer is feasible and easy in a few minutes. If you are buying from system A to the special, extended wheel bolts are not included. The specification of the wheel spacer is always related to the widening per axle. For most of our spacers you will receive a general operating permit that allows them quick and simple registration with the T
