Advantages Advantages Plenty of Gadgets, Best Satellite Navigation, Out of this world

Disadvantages Disadvantages Some problems with fuel cap release.

Cast your mind back to several months ago to that bizarre advert on television of a group of people making various noises to simulate the experience of the new Honda Civic to me the advert was annoying but 6 months later we had the brand new civic so it definitely got our attention and into the showroom we went to place our order and had the 8 week wait. The Honda Civic has always been a popular car and this model definitely will not disappoint any owner and is quickly becoming one of the most popular cars on the road. Opinions tend to vary but I guarantee after being in the vehicle a few ... more

Advantages Advantages Superb handling, very powerful

Disadvantages Disadvantages Touch high on insurance

In terms of motor vehicles i only have previous experience of a toyota corolla (1.4 auto) and a Honda CR-V (2.2 CTDi) so not many cars to compare the Civic to but i'll try my best. The engine in the civic is the same that is in the cr-v, and with that i knew what to expect: Responsive, powerful, efficient and practical. The 2.2 turbo diesel that honda have put into the civic seems just perfect for this car, It has enough power to shift when you really need it while maintaining the economical factor even on back country roads. The civic seems to stick to the road, perhaps its the new stream ... more

Advantages Advantages Sporty, torque, acceleration, quick 0-60, value for money.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Honda arent very good to deal with!

WOW HONDA! What an improvement on the body style of the new civic. My family has recently purchased this model in the bright red, and i must say im most impressed. It's easy to drive, lots of torque and ecomonical! It comes with some standard sporty features like the dash display, the standard wheels, the headlamps and taillamps are also another sporty feature which makes this car unique. Not to mention the exhuasts style, who would know its a diseal ey! And its great value for money! The only thing i dont like about this car is when shifting gears, it feels very hard on the changes compared ... more

5 Stars Quick review of Honda Civic 2.2 I-CTDi EX by StevieRB 10/09/2007
Problems with the fuel flap release can be corrected by taking it to your Honda dealer where they will fit an upgraded spring. This is done in a matter of minutes. Steve.

Advantages Advantages Nice car to drive and it does look good.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Waiting for the next thing to go wrong

Faulty drivers door handle. Repaired under warranty. New discs all round at 35000 miles. Replaced myself, Honda very expensive, £500+. Dropped bump rubber. £174. Yet to be done due to cost. Broken clutch pedal spring. £202. Yet to be done due to cost. New steering rack. £1612. Reported 3 times during warranty. Fault dismissed as the dealers could not find the fault during the warranty period, I could. Battery would go flat during a very short period. Told to get a new battery and it had to be a Honda one. The fault had to be cured with a software update. £45 Very bad wear on sides of front ... more
