Wonderful car, I own the 2006 LX

Advantages: Comfortable seating, dashboard console, handling, decent acceleration, great gas mileage, smooth ride, mp3, practical, fun
Disadvantages: Full acceleration response occasionally bit slow, rear window blind spot, sometimes selects gears too much

...the idea of getting a Honda civic at first due to my preconception of their looks, I was surprised when I took a look at one of the newer ones because it didn't look anything like what I imagined.

After I visited the dealership, I also realized that the interior console had much in common with the digital dash on the s2000 that I found to be quite cool. Some people don't like it, which is understandable if one has driven a lot of similar ...
...fun. Unlike the s2000 however, the RPM gauge is analogue, though the fuel gauge, engine temperature gauge, and speedometer are all digital. It's well placed in order to not block ones' view, and if one is shorter he or she can conveniently raise the seats which are pretty flexible. It's also more useful for avoiding speeding tickets because it's more obvious (but also much cooler when you do decide to speed).

The interior is decent ... more

Honda Civic Coupe real review

Advantages: Large boot, handles well
Disadvantages: Expensive insurance, expensive running costs, expensive parts and servicing and awful fuel economy

...the limited edition "Black Magic" Honda Civic DX Coupes -made in America, although it is sold as an official UK car and is UK spec right hand drive. Mine is a 1.5 litre (1493cc) 4-speed auto model with the standard fuel injected SOHC (non-VTEC) D15B7 engine and produces 102bhp. Good bits first: The car certainly looks the part, long and sleek, with a nice black paint scheme with a hint of gold when the sun hits it and good looking six spoke Honda ...
...reliability goes I can't fault Honda engineering. My car is 10 years old and all that has been really changed is the timing belt, the CV joints, an exhaust tailpipe and a battery. Good thing as Honda parts really cost. Now the bad bits: Group 14 insurance seems incredibly high considering this car's abilities. An MR2 sports car is only group 15 so why is this slow, family coupe group 14? Seems ludicrous. Fuel economy is very lacklustre - 35mpg ...

Civic coupe 1.6 VTI.... What a car!

Advantages: Sporty look, Mod cons, Powerful engine, controlled drive & Honda reliability
Disadvantages: Parts can be pricey

I bought my 1999 honda civic coupe vti (aso known as an EM1) in december of 2004. The car comes with Honda's ultra reliable B16A2 engine which turns out 160 bhp. It was the first production car to produce 100 bhp per lite. The car is elegant and beautifully designed and best of all every thing works... all the time! Releiability and Honda go hand in hand. In the well designed cabin you have air con, adjustable seats, twin airbags and a very well ...
...found honda service departments very good too, if sometimes a bit pricey! Fule consumption is around the 35 mpg mark and i believe the car is insurance group 16. This is a great car, a bit different from the usual fords and vauxhalls and i would reccomment it to anyone. ...

Honda Civic 2003 Coupe

Advantages: Quick, Sporty, Handles Well, Looks Good, Spacious, Fun to Drive
Disadvantages: No true disadvantages as of yet

I don't personally own one of these fantastic cars although I wish I did. My father although does, I have though driven this car. My own car is a renault clio and I love it but it isn't a patch on this car! We have one in red with the boot spoiler, uprated alloys 16's and fog lamps as extras. It looks the part. In fact if I was after looks I'd pick this over the type R any day! Our coupe was registered in 2003, sadly just after we purchsed ours in ...
...the UK as it wasn't a brilliant seller. Don't get me wrong this isn't becuase it's a bad car it's like most coupe's in Britain don't sell awfully well. This was one of a few very hot selling cars in Canada where more people buy coupes. If they had driven this then everyone in the UK would have one. They presume coupe's to be tight on space but this has a larger boot and room in front and back than the Rover 400 Family car that my father had preceeding ...

HONDA CIVIC VTI SALOON 1600 CC

Advantages: Vtec very responsive, sounds amazing and is bullet proof, 4 doors very versatile, economical.
Disadvantages: NONE, its a HONDA

I own the 4 door saloon version of this car and must say that this is the best car i ever owned, I have previously owned BMW, golf, Audi, Toyota, Ford....etc. This Car is one of the most under rated out there, the vtec engine in this produces a massive 160 bhp as standard from a tiny 1.6 litre engine!!!!!!!!!!! and there is no turbo or supercharger!!!!!!!!!!!redlines at 8200 rpm, 0-60 in just 8 seconds, which is incredible. It still returns 30 mpg ...
...doors, a decent sized boot, a/c, sunroof, disc brakes all round, ABS. power steering, Fully electric and best of all its a HONDA, completely bullet proof. It looks good and sticks to road like glue, The car is very well built and not prone to rust, i absolutely love it and also the fact that its very rare, makes it a real eye catcher. ...

Like a Swiss Chronometer ...

Advantages: Great reliability, economy & looks ...
Disadvantages: Just a little short on driver headroom for my 5 foot 6" frame and short legs!

...What a car! I've owned all sorts of European and Japanese cars over the last 40 years including Mercedes, Porsche, Lotus; I've driven many other marques too, but none could earn the accolade I grant this little gem: "if Honda made watches, this car would be considered a Swiss Chronometer." ...

Reviews which might be of interest for "Honda Civic Coupe"

Is this some car or what.

Advantages: Fuel consumption, luxurious for the price
Disadvantages: None that I know

I recently bought the 2001 Honda Civic Coupe (4 door). To be honest with you it wasn't a hard decision. I have owned two Honda's previously- 1988 Prelude and 1994 Accord. I knew going in that I wanted to Honda Civic Coupe EX. There are four Civic Coupes available, each different mostly because of options. The Honda Civic Coupe comes in array of interior/exterior colors (but still depending on which model you choose): Clover Green Pearl/Beige Taffeta White/Beige Eternal Blue Pearl/Beige Inca Pearl/Black Satin Silver Metallic/Black Rallye Red/Black Rallye Red/Beige Nighthawk Black Pearl/Black (my choice) SAFETY As you know, this is THE most important factor. All the Honda Civic Coupes are standardly equipped with the following: steal door beams dual front airbags 3 point seat belts front crush zone anti lock ...

Review of Honda Civic 1.6 VTEC

Best for 20-23 yr olds

Advantages: Styling, Comfort, Class - most importantly, SEX appeal
Disadvantages: Might break your bank

Ever wished for a top range car, but insurance letting you down?Well, I got my wishes when I opted for a 1994 318is coupe. This is my second car. My last was a honda civic, a 1.8 with a Vtec engine. I had high expectations for this car. And man, this car not only lived up to them, but seduced me with its gorgeous style. Firstly, its a spitting rendition of its older brother, the M3, but without the massive engine and few other bits and bobs, but it still boasts a smooth 6 cylinder, 16 valve engine kicking 140 bhp, this is something of a bulldog too. Alloys come standard as well as metallic paint, alarm+imobilizer (handy to ward off those annoying car jack-asses), full electrics. The interior is lush - plenty of space for you to stretch your legs or even to practise yoga (only in the front though). It feels as though the car was ...
