I passed my CBT in October 02 and was looking for a nice, cheap sports bike to 'break me in' so to speak.

I narrowed it down to a possible three, one of which was the Honda NSR 125.

This truly is a great bike for new riders as it has quite a comfortable ride and has extremely forgiving handling. Though it looks like quite a large bike for 125cc's, it is nimble and filters through traffic well.

I have had no reliability problems and even in winter, the engine starts fine.

It's really cheap to run; I've been getting about 65 miles per gallon out of it.

If I had to find faults I would say that it is a little on the heavy side for it's engine size, and to add more oil (every couple of unleaded fill ups), you are required to lift the entire fuel tank which is easily done but can be a little annoying.
