This is a very nice little bike with lots of grunt, it is very stylish for its age and boasts a single sided swingarm, V four engine, nice honda quality finish, WSB RC45 looks and is lightweight weighing in at about 170lbs so it is easily chuckable into and out of the corners. the RVF can easily keep up with many of the present day 600s with its midrange power delivery and around 60 BHP for the unrestricted versions which is embarrasing for the bigger bike riders but is a big grin factor for you. the brakes are good aswel with lots of feel on two pot twin discs upfront and a single one pot at the rear. overall a very good first sports bike for the begginer who has just passed their test.

With limited options in the sports market this group is mostly oldish Jap bikes. Due I think to license restrictions over their. The Honda was in my opinion the best prospect with the best looks. With maybe the exception of the up rated RVF400NC35. Also it was only about 170kgs. The bike arrived a couple of days later after I had paid about £2.500 for a average condition example with tri-color paint(red blue and white).
When the bike arrived I was less than impressed with the preparation it had been given. The clutch plates and brakes hardly worked. After getting the dealer to put this strait I came to realize the 33bhp limiter kit he had "fitted" perhaps had suffered from his dubious work ethics. The bike was running at its full...
