My Honda Shuttle test drive was to change all that. She came out of the blocks like a thoroughbred, immediately I was aware of the power of that mighty 2.3 litre engine. However, it was not just performance that I became instantly aware of, this car floated effortlessly over the terrain like an ocean liner. The all-round visibility and lofty driver position made me feel king of the road.
However, there ... ...drive is difficult as even Honda dealerships rarely have them on the forecourts. They do keep their value well and their rarity is also endearing. This is a very classy vehicle, but with a real homely feel.

Having road tested 8 MPVs inside a week, I was fast despairing of finding that elusive vehicle that could offer me space for my growing family and performance.

However, it was not just performance that I became instantly aware of, this car floated effortlessly over the terrain like an ocean liner. The all-round visibility and lofty driver position made me feel king of the road.
However, there were yet more treat in store, because the acceleration both at the traffic lights and at cruising was sensational. It made me mindful of my old XR3i, as you could feel the power forcing you on. All Shuttles are automatic, and the automatic changing is just a dream. My only downside was that fuel consumption seemed a little poor, averaging only 18mpg around town and 34mpg on a run.
The spaciousness was also exactly what I needed. All the seats fold up to reveal tardis like spaciousness, and even with all the seats down legroom in all seats was very good. This was a winner in every way for me, and I purchased immediately. Since being an owner my opinion has only got better.

Going on holiday is a sheer bliss, as the space to pack everything including the kitchen sink is chasm like. And yet there is still plenty of room for the wife and 3 kids.
Also while driving around the French Riviera thet Airconditioning (standard in all models) was a life saver.
It also is big on safety with dual air bags, immobiliser, child locks, child window locks, arm rests on all seats, and many other features.
