Advantages: It was well worth seeing Disadvantages: Maybe the accents mixed things up a little!
Valkyrie.
A thriller directed by Brian Singer.
Rated 12A
Running time 120 minutes.
As soon as I saw the television advertisements for the war film Valkyrie it went down on my list of films to see.
I am no big fan of Tom Cruise but I had read in one of the National newspapers that Cruise had always personally abhorred Hitler and all he stood for and felt that the part of Claus Von Stauffenburg was just made for him, so I was interested to watch how he portrayed the Wehrmacht Colonel who influenced the scheme to try to save the Fatherland which took place on July 20th 1944.
Interestingly the cast has its fair share of well known British actors including Terence stamp, Kenneth Branagh and Bill Nighy who all rather confusingly speak in Queen`s English.
Thomas Kretschmann is cast as a cold blooded Nazi who rings the changes ...

Advantages: Plot, shows a different side to Germany, good acting Disadvantages: None really
Valkyrie is a film I saw advertised on the TV a few weeks ago and I just wanted to watch it. The film is rated a PG 12 so no one under the age of 12 should be allowed to watch it without an adult with them and is directed by Brian Singer.
Valkyrie is based on a true story and is based on a plot to assassinate Hitler. The film starts in 1943 in Tunisia where we see the main character Colonel Von Stauffenberg (Tom Cruise) who is fighting for Hitler and the Nazi`s. He is caught in an air raid and looses his left eye and his right hand.
Later on Stauffenberg joins other German officers who are disgusted by Hitler. They make a plot to assassinate Hitler and it is up to Stauffenberg to perform this unappealing task. If he fails it will result in death for the group of them and maybe their families.
Some of the supporting cast are ...

Advantages: Based on true events, great acting and lots of expsplosions Disadvantages: Some unrealistic features such as human wounds
Valkyrie is about German Officers in late World War 2 plotting to kill Adolf Hitler and overthrow his goverment to end the war. The film is based on true events which glues you to the screen as you know that it has happened.
I did enjoy Valkyire, and I think having an actor that you're familiar with and like his work as the main role then it helps you in getting into the film a little easier and enjoy it a bit more. Me and my parents are fans of Tom Cruise but we'll get to him later on.
Because the film is a remake of something that has happened it makes you really excited to watch it as it's like you're part of a real action-packed tense story, which is what you are in.
The story is great, it's not flase and made up or anything, it's real. I think it's very accurate to what actually happened during World War 2 which makes ...
