Slow and steady wins the race 13 of 19 Ciao Users found the following review helpful

Advantages Ease of use, lightweight, fuel economy, slight cred.

Disadvantages Slow, slow, slow, slow.

I brought my 'xr' brand new from a dealer for a reasonable 2200 pounds sterling. (There are good discounts if you just ask! Never pay screen price) It's comfortable, quiet, nippy up to 40mph and absolutely fantastic on petrol. (100mpg for me and I weigh 17 stone!) I use it to get to work on and for this job it's superb, it's when you get out of town and open the throttle that you realise performance-wise this is very much a geared scooter. Up to 40 mph its relatively nippy but after that you're just wasting time and loosening your fillings! I once went for a flat out run downhill with my chin on the bars, got 61mph before being overtaken by 4 kids in a mini.... Don't let this put you off it as a commuter bike though, the running gear is off the famous 'cg125' (a 4 door saloon in some eastern countries!) and will no doubt go on forever just as they do. Before I brought mine I read reviews of the 'cg' and people reported using them for 15+ years without any mechanical problems. Also insurance is pennys and servicing is peanuts all the usual benefits of honda ownership apply (smartwater, 2yrs warranty, AA cover e.t.c). Go ahead and buy one if you live in a city or can't afford any more points on your licence because this sure couldn't earn you any!
