SPIRITS BAY MANUKA HONEY
Review of Spirits Bay Manuka Honey by Wearsidelass

Advantages: Is extremely good for you
Disadvantages: Expensive

Spirits Bay Manuka Honey was recommended to me by a work colleague - she and her partner have been taking a daily spoonful of this honey for over a year now and it has greatly helped to reduce the cholesterol level of her partner. So I decided to check it out - I wasn't a particular "honey" enthusiast but I am very much into alternative remedies. I had been feeling very sluggish and exhausted and wanted something natural to help me overcome this. ...
...owned by an old Geordie man who is very knowledgeable and asked him if he sold Manuka honey. It just so happened that he had a special offer for this honey - two 250g jars (10+) for £10.99 which was a bargain so I bought some. He also told me about the medicinal benefits of the honey. ""SOME FACTS ABOUT MANUKA HONEY"" Manuka honey is only harvested by the Maoris in their remote and unpolluted land on the North Island of New Zealand. The land ... Read review

Mummy gave me honey
Review of Gale's Clear Honey by Janemartin

Advantages: Its pleasent and sweet and a change from sugar
Disadvantages: Its sticky messy and it dribbles everywhere

Well Ive been a honey lover for as long as I can remember. When I was a little chubby girl - due to all the honey my Mum fed me, I was practically brought up on honey. My Dad has a farm and his best friend kept Bee's on a small section of one of his fields. I used to love watching the Bee-keeper taking the honey from the hives and I used to eat the honey comb. Sorry to say this but cheshire local honey was much nicer than gales. The taste is due ...
...I dont like blue-bell honey as that is too perfumey smelling. Other than that I love most honey, I buy gales, but if I am on holiday I buy local honey. Most of the time I pay around £2.00 a jar but I norally look out for BOGOF offers. Its sold in 227 grm jars or in English 0ne pound jars. Honey is good for you, but has high calories because of the sweetness but has no fat. I use it when I have a cold in lemsips. I also put it on ready break and spread ... Read review

Mine's Upside Down...Is Yours
Review of Capilano Pure Australian Honey by rachels_ratty

Advantages: Everything
Disadvantages: It runs out......

...Now I’ve been buying Capilano honey for a while (and will extol it’s virtues to you all in this op), but what grabbed my maybe a touch Aussie-obsessed brain a couple of weeks ago was that this sweet spread was now available in a ‘new’ package…and the bugger’s upside-down. The lid’s at the bottom. Honest to G-D I’m not making this up, the entire idea of storing honey has been, quite literally turned on it’s head. This does, of course, make it pretty ...
...label. Under this is the Capilano ‘mascot’, a cute little bumblebee character. Under this are the words ‘Pure Australian Honey’, the honey being in large bold white letters with a blue background. Fair I think of me to point out at this juncture that this is the 340g sized container, incidentally this is the only size that uses this upside down idea. The back label, which is again yellow, has instructions for pouring this honey (I’ll come back to ... Read review

Clever Container
Review of ROWSE Easy Squeezy Pure Natural Honey by queen_rain

Advantages: User-friendly jar design
Disadvantages: Bland flavour

...opening at the top, this Rowse honey container is 'squeezable'. I love the practicality of this. I can squeeze the honey directly where I want it, for example, on my croissant or into my natural yogurt. No knife, spoon or funny contraption is needed - which means, there's less washing-up to do, which is a definite bonus. In the past, I used to tilt honey jars over the yogurt or the sliced bread. The result ... either far too much honey on the ...
...jar, sticky fingers, a sticky washing-up cloth, and sticky rings on the surface where I placed the jar. With Rowse's new squeezable container, getting the quantity right is easy, and it doesn't drip. Well, not much, anyway. A few drops have trickled down the side of the opening, so it's not quite perfect, but good enough for me. I continue singing the praises of the container. Because it's plastic, it means its far less heavy to carry (I live on ... Read review

It makes the peas taste funny:-)
Review of Rowse Pure Natural Blossom Honey by mumsymary

Advantages: lovely
Disadvantages: none

Rowse Honey. I did not realise till today that Rowse honey of which I eat quite a lot of was started in Ewelme in Oxfordshire not really that far from me. Rowse honey was started by a Tony Rowse in 1954 the year I was born. At first only English honey was used but in the 1960's honey was imported from other countries blended and packaged in Great Britain in their factory in Wallingford. I have bought and used various honeys blended by Rowse the ...
...be one of the cheaper Rowse honeys. This honey comes from flowers in Argentina, Mexico and Brazil. I am assuming it is from mixed flower rather than from the nectar bees have collected from one species of plant . The honey is presented in an attractive shaped clear glass jar with a honey gold lid the label gold too. I often have this honey jar on my breakfast table. I do like honey on my toast and I read somewhere that eating honey helps hay fever ... Read review
