I also didn’t want a combined washer and dryer – I prefer to dry clothes naturally. The Hoover model fitted the bill, so I duly handed over the cash, and the rest is washday history. Here’s what I think: THE MANUFACTURER I was attracted to the Hoover range, because I had read an article in Which? ... ...My Mum had always bought Hoover machines, so I knew they had a relatively good reputation. Hoover currently manufacture a wide range of washing machines, refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers and vacuum cleaners. ...bolts can be bought from hoover at a cost of £5 each. However the problem is it is impossible to get the broken pieces out and fit the new ones. So for the sake of two £5 bolts i have had to replace the whole machine. It is very frustrating and I will not be replacing it with another hoover....ever ...

Advantages: washes reasonably well Disadvantages: expensive to repair, so have to bin it!!
whilst working a reasonable machine.
however the drum bearing construction of sealed bearings means that once the bearing fails repair is not cost justifable. which is ok if fails within guarantee period but as usual this has not occured so another load to the landfill. with all the talk of the environment it does seem ironic that they can design such a system.
