Advantages: Great cleaning quality for such a small compact machine Disadvantages: Couple of design flaws that just irritate
...A Hoover is a Hoover, is a Hoover - Unless it's a vacuum cleaner of course!
Well how many of us incorrectly talk about using a Hoover? When in fact we're just using another Vacuum cleaner - Just one of those idiosyncrasies of life today how a manufacturers name is somehow more associated with the task or appliance being used, rather than its accurate use.
However, in this instance I do have a Hoover! A genuine one. A bright blue one!
So, how about a little about the company:
Hoover began in America, in Ohio. Eventually it established itself in the United Kingdom, and was a major player in the early and mid 1900's dominating the Vacuum cleaning industry. As I've already hinted at, the Hoover became synonymous for vacuum cleaners here in the UK.
Although the company is no longer the major seller of Vacuums in the country...

Advantages: Good Suction, lightweight Disadvantages: none
...I bought this hoover after a secondhand upright electrolux of my Grandma's erupted in smoke. To be honest I was pleased that it had finally died as it was too heavy for me to use easily.
So taking into consideration that I wanted a lightweight hoover, that was powerful enough to get the job done quickly I did some research on the web and finally selected the Telios 1600 (T5603). I have so far been very impressed with it.

The chrome tubes are adjustable, so you can set it to the right length for your height, and make it shorter for easier storage. The most ingenious part of the design is in my opinion an internal storage...

Advantages: If you like to suck hard Disadvantages: It does'nt like being hairy

The Pet hair Dyson model actually won the vote but was just a tad expensive and this model seemed to match it on performance at a £50 cheaper price.
Our machine looked sleek and cosmopolitan as I unwrapped it and admired the purple and silver colour scheme. (It does come in other colours) Easy to put together most of it was self-explanatory with just a handle to assemble with two simple screws to attach.
Looking at the lounge floor my heart palpitated at the thought of a hair free house especially after you have itched your pants, and removed hairs from your stir fry.
Looking at the controls (mounted...

Purchased this machine from Curry's on 12th April 2008. Found the machine quite noisy on the 1600 spin. The machine has a good load capacity, plenty of features and appeared good value for money. Unfortunately on 10th June 2008 the machine flooded our more
