We purchased the Hoover DM 5525 2000w in October 05 having given away a Dyson to a friend who so was so pleased with it we could not ask for it back.
We have been stuck with this maching as it is not exactly faulty, just very unsatisfactory and poor design. Although we do not own a pet, the filters still clog up with dust very regularly and have to be emptied at least once during a cleaning session. The machine will cut out on a regular basis and has to be left for a period of time before it can be used again.
We would not recommend this machine to anyone and think it does Hoover's reputation no good at all being in it's range. Most people having had one of these machines would avoid buying another Hoover. I only wish I had read reviews before purchasing.
