stiff when trying to get the hoover upright, fill up too quick

this hoover is ok, it fills up far too quickly though, i empty every time i use it (everyday) and with my last hoover i emptied just once every 3times i used it. it is also rather difficult to get the hoover upright and down to use it, the little step that you use is stiff, mine actually broke after 3 months of use!! the customer service is good though. but for picking up dirt it is excellent. i just think there are too many problems with it in other ways to stop it functioning brilliantly, the hose is ok.and the ease of getting the bag out is good to empty it, overall its ok for the actual purpose of picking up hair and dirt it does this really well. i bought mine for £130 which is a reasonable price for a hoover
