...is not going round. Hoover inform us that this should be repaired by the owner and if the engineer is called to fix this problem then we would be billed for his visit. The situation seems desperate, we returned The One to the retailer (Currys - wouldn't have mentioned this only they have been very unhelpful/unsympathetic about this) even though Hoover would "not give us the authority" to do this. Hoovers engineer has looked at it once in 28 days ...
...but he didnt. Think Hoover must have told them not to do that. We purchased The One on offer for £99 (Glad it wasn't at full price of £200+) and took out 5 years cover on it so it could go on some time. It is this situation which prompted me to become a member of Ciao as I wanted as many people to know about this as possible and hope more people join and review products. this hoover is the one, like my self i have carpet and woodern flooring in my house its great.one kick and your off,, no changeing bits which takes to much time, for the quick and easy user this is fab.stairs are no problem. i did have a problem with this hoover,the motor burn out and i call hoover to ask about this problem,they was nice and no hassel to return the hoover to them,i never paid a penny.hoover sent me a new hoover"the one" stright ...

Hoover certainly was 'The One' for me. Total nightmare from the minute I opened the box(es)! The very first time I used the spring clip holding the detachable pipe fell off!. This made it very difficult to use as the smallest amount of pressure made the clip 'fly off' and the suction not work. The instructions ask consumers to 'not return' their Hoover to their dealer but to phone the Hoover helpline- to cut a long story short- DONT BOTHER. Hoover ...
...own accord! ARGGGGGH. Phoned the Hoover helpline- still no spares 3 weeks later- they dont want to know! My mother has one also and that one the nossle has broken after 3 weeks use (so it not just me) Second Hoover back to the dealer- Full refund for me. In summary between us three brand new Hoover 'The One' out of the box total of 5 faults that Hoover cant/not interested in fixing. Dont bother. Not too brilliant on the suction front either.. ... ...honest looks like it can hoover up anything you put in front it, but the reality is it does nothing. The suction is absolutely terrible and you often have to go back and actually pick up the bits of fluff it has missed. So far the removable hose has broken twice (and we've cleverly stuck it back together with superglue) and we weren't exactly doing anything more violent than hoovering the front room! It's not only the shoddiness of manufacture ...
...being lazy but having to hoover the house with the trailing cable slung over your shoulder so it doesn't get hoovered over must be a thing of the past! The weight is also terrible if you're attempting to lift it up the stairs; there are no real handles to make it easy! Worst purchase I have made.....ever. ... Read review

...This is a very efficent hoover that i bought in the January sales 2 years ago for £120 which was half price at that time. This is a very powerful hoover with 1800 watts of power. It has edge to edge cleaning which is handy as it saves you having to get the pipe attachment out to hoover the edging of any floor. There is a large button on the front which you press to change from cleaning hard floors to carpets. This is good with lots of homes now having laminate floors & carpets in a home. The only downside is the noise, i've heard some noisy hoovers in my time but this one is the loudest!! This wouldn't put me off buying another one though. There is a large dust container on the front which with a twist removes fully for you to empty & also a couple of filters which are easily removed.
