not worth saving the money

Advantages: efficient (when working properly), easy to clean, spacious
Disadvantages: malfunctions easily, spare parts hard to source

I bought this model two years ago via tesco.com. It was reasonably cheap and on special offer, and was the perfect size for my needs. I dismissed several similar models becuase they would have cost around £50 to £100 more. It worked fine for 22 months - until I moved house. There was no damage during transit, but the action of defrosting the freezer (which I did before reloading) seems to have triggered a failure. The freezer still works fine (in ...
...and I can hear liquid refrigerant circulating within the (sealed) rear insulation. Of course the 1 year warranty has expired, and the 5 year parts cover is useless if I don't know which part to replace. There is no access panels of any sort to seek out the source of the problem (may be a blocked valve or a failed evaporator) - seems odd though because the freezer part works fine at -8C whereas the fridge part is at +16C.
