Hoover HNF 7167

Advantages: large load and easy to load
Disadvantages: long cycles and no seperate fast spin

...i Bought this washing machine to replace a hoover quattro 1100spin that i had used nearly every day for 6 years. The HNF2137 has a large load capacity of 7.5kg but only on certain cycles some cycles can only take 3.5kg which is a big difference. The door is wide opening and much easier to load or unload and to keep the inside clean. It has a countdown timer but this is only divided into 60mins, 30 mins and 15mins so you never now how long over an hour is left. There is also a door lock indicater light so you don't try to open the door before its ready to open. There is a variable temperature control and the machine feeds only from the cold water supply and then heats to the required temperature. This is probably the main reason the wash cycles take so long. The 40 degree coloured cycle takes 2 hours + 15 mins to complete. Although... Read review

Disadvantages: SLIGHT PROBLEM WITH FABRIC SOFTENER

...I have to admit that I have always favoured Hoover. This washing machine was bought by us about 6 months ago to replace an old Hoover that was about 8 years old and had passed the one million mile mark! We gave it to one of our friends and she is still using it. I particularly like this model because the 1300 spin speed is right for just about everything. You have a wide range of simple to understand washing options.The machine is energy efficient, not using more water than is necessary. It is not too noisy either. There is the usual excellent guarantee too. I always buy the extended option with washing machines and the like because they get so much hammer in our busy household they are the most likely to need attention eventually! We have a slight problem in that certain fabric softeners just syphon straight through into the machine... Read review

...I am not a washing machine connoisseur. I have very little interest in them regarding them as purely functional, though necessary, items of household equipment. I simply require a simple, hassle free washing machine that gets on with the job efficiently. I have to say, that until acquiring my Hoover HNF7127 ('Nextra 7'), I did not pay a lot of attention to economy, spin speed etc. nor the various wash types - I have always been a strictly - 'everything on program 5 - except for woollies that go on program 9!" type of person. I have had much fancier washing machines in the past especially during my early to mid -twenties 'yuppy period'.
