This one definitely fits the bill. It is capable of doing any kind of washing from small loads to bedding and towels. It has plenty of wash options as well as variable spin speeds. I find the stain blaster button on it excellent for those messy toddler moments, and the ... ...or when something just needs a quick refresh. It also has the option of time delay for those of us who like to do our washing in the night on economy 7. All in all I have found this to be one of the best washing machines I have had, it is not too noisy, and very economical. A very good all round family machine. ... more

It also has the option of time delay for those of us who like to do our washing in the night on economy 7. All in all I have found this to be one of the best washing machines I have had, it is not too noisy, and very economical. A very good all round family machine.

Bought to replace an unrepairable 5 year old Servis, and very pleased.
Much quieter and faster - especially on the time saver washes, yet has the capacity to do a whole load of towels/bedding etc as it takes 6kg. Very fast spin means less drying time - especially important if you are using a tumble drier.
Good range of programmes although generally most people only use two or three. The time saver washes are an especially good addition for light ... ...speed, as well as extra rinses and a stain buster programme too mean it can cope with most things you can throw at it.
Has a very useful "time left" indicator - great if you are going out and want to know whether to wait a few minutes or not for it to finish!
Great to find such economy and +Aaa washer at such a good price. Very happy so far! ...

I bought this to replace my 12 year old zanussi as it had finally given up the ghost!
It has 3 quick washes from 59 mins, 44 mins and 29 mins. It then has plently more programs to choose from such as sport, cottons, prewash, rinse, all with varying temperatures up to 90 and a spin up to 1400.
The temperature on the dial next to the program is the maximum it can go to, but there is another dial where you can select a lower temperature if required, ... ...function of 3, 6 or 9 hours and shows in a red bar as it counts down the time till it starts. On the same red bar it also indicates in 60, 30 or 15 mins how much longer of the cycle is left, If no bar shows then the cycle has more than 50 mins to go.
It is easy to get to the filter, and the kick plate that hides it can also be used as the trap to collect the water.
Had left a hair band in an item of clothing and noticed as it was washing. Was able ...

i bought this as my 6 year old zanussi needed a new PCB and htis was cheaper £188 than getting old one repaired. Despite having a a rating for the nerg its not the best as my old zaussi used less energy! Its not as good as the machine it replaed but for the price its the quality of the wash and spin that are better than the old machine( almost twice the price)
The controls feel a bit cheap and arn't that intuative ( well not to a 30 yr old man). ...

Advantages: Intelligent: saves well, washes well, spins well, does its job well, furnishes the kitchen well. Disadvantages: Short duration of the 'Spin Only' programme.
duration (approx 3 minutes) and relatively low in speed (800rpm), hence, it is advisable to make sure to select a wash cycle which foresees a long spin sequence, especially if in need to use a tumble dryer!
Hoover Nextra HNL3146 has now been updated with Nextra HNL7146, which offers similar wash options and it looks identical but it has an added start delay feature... well... why delay your energy savings any further? Get yourself a Nextra! :-)
