Hoover HNWF 6167 E

Advantages: 5kg wash and dry
Disadvantages: keeps breaking down

...I brought this washer/dryer because it had a 5kg drum for washing and drying, I wish I hadn't! since I brought this 7 months ago I have had to call the engineer out 4 times, It now has a new motor, new fan and the pipe keeps blocking up with fluff. The engineer told me I will be calling him out every 4-6 months to clean the pipe as I use the dryer a lot?? there is only 2 people in my house so I don't class that I use this a lot. I'm so unhappy with is product that we have now asked Hoover if we can swap this model for a separate washer & dryer, we are waiting to hear from them. (The fluff getting trapped in the pipe is a common problem with this model)... Read review

...of carpet i.e. thick, thin etc are located on the bottom section of the Hoover so again this may pose a problem for the elderly. Extra Plastic tubes and accessories This Hoover comes with 2 plastic tubes and 2 small brushes. The plastic tubes are very useful and as for the brushes I don’t think I have every used them! But there always their if you need them. After use all of the brushes and tubes are easily slotted back to there positions which makes life easier. Value. This Hoover was approximately £85 to buy new around 9 years ago so I suppose it hasn’t been a bad buy. Would I buy another? No, certainly not I much prefer those little one that you drag around on the floor, which are just as power full yet cheaper too! I have spotted one for a mere £24.99! In general. ...Right, those members remembering Hoover Juniors, will know they are a bog standard little vaccuum, correct so far. What has changed is the design, gone is the functional practical austere look, this is the new Doctor Who of cleaners. This is the new improved "Hoover with attitude" It looks modern, stylish even, and I dare say designers have been briefed to give it a sort of "In your face image". While I have absolutely nothing against the idea of a household appliance being trendy, or even cool, I just think that we should keep out feet on the ground. "It is only a vaccuum cleaner" nothing more, nothing less. Weight is only 3.8 Kgs, very light for this type of appliance. Availability is good, you will find them everywhere. As for the price, do not pay more than £35, this seems an enormous amount of money to me... Read review
