I wish now that I had been more demanding, and ask for cash to use against purchase of a different brand.
The machine itself, on the face of it, is state of ... ...programmes, selected manually. Not as many choices as the latest chip-controlled machines available, but enough for the average household, I suspect (except that there is no option to "hold" the washing without spinning, which is quite useful if you want to leave it on to empty later and avoid too much creasing). Hoover's instruction booklet is easy to follow.
It washes efficiently, even on the "energy-saving"/"small load" programmes. On "speed-wash", ...
