People need to wash their clothes, now thats just a fact of life and unless you live near a fast running river and have the time and inclination to beat your clothes off a rock you are reading this because you wish for someone to impart some wisdom around the purchasing of a the Hoover OPH714D. I hope to cover the main points starting with the price tag. £260 for a washing machine is actually a little on the expensive side when looking in comparison at combo machines that will also dry your clothes but for my purposes I simply needed a washing machine thanks to the sturdy Servis dryer I have that seems to have a never say die attitude. So, yes, the machine may seem a little expensive but it is worth it because of the way in which it operates.
The machine takes a 15.4lb wash load which is more than enough in my opinion. After sorting between whites and coloured garments I never seem to have enough to fill the drum up to the maximum. I would say that this machine would be slighly on the small side for a family of say 4, but for a couple it is satisfactory. One plus point of having just a reasonable load level is that from an energy consumption perspective the machines doesn't 'spin' the meter into oblivion.
The wash performance is fantastic, and this is refelcted in the A grade it has for removing stubborn stains. The heaviest of grass stains are washed away with ease and manky shirt collars are a thing of the past in my household. With a range of programme settings that will wash devet covers to the finest and most delicate items the best thing for me is that when spinning wildly, in the throws of cleaning my smalls the machine is almost whisper silent. There are a few vibrations on the spin cycle but the annoying grumble and gearing up noises that usually come with washing machines is non-existent.
The Hoover OPH714D is a little on the pricey side but for your money you will get a top performing washing machine that won't give you a headache. It has more options than a driving theory test and best of all, it lasts and lasts. In over 12 months I haven't even had a blocked drainage pipe and for this I am eternally thankful.
Quick review of Hoover OPH714D Review ofHoover OPH714Dby

We got this washing machine as a replacement as our old one was written off (hotpoint) as it aws plagued by faults, so we decided on a Hoover washing machine and chose this model but 13 days after getting out it stopped working, the man came out today and said the control panel had gone so this machine had to be written off.
So here i am again looking for a washing machine, would i buy another hotpoint or hoover no never.
