Advantages: large load and easy to load Disadvantages: long cycles and no seperate fast spin
...i Bought this washing machine to replace a hooverquattro 1100spin that i had used nearly every day for 6 years.
The HNF2137 has a large load capacity of 7.5kg but only on certain cycles some cycles can only take 3.5kg which is a big difference.
The door is wide opening and much easier to load or unload and to keep the inside clean. It has a countdown timer but this is only divided into 60mins, 30 mins and 15mins so you never now how long over an hour is left. There is also a door lock indicater light so you don't try to open the door before its ready to open.
There is a variable temperature control and the machine feeds only from the cold water supply and then heats to the required temperature.
This is probably the main reason the wash cycles take so long. The 40 degree coloured cycle takes 2 hours + 15 mins to complete.
Although...

Advantages: plenty of wash programmes Disadvantages: expensive
...i recently purchases a HooverQuattro 1300 as my old washer was only a cheapie and on its last legs!!
The thing that attracted me to this apart from hoover being a good make, was the amount of wash programmes and spin speed is 1300.
It also has a jet clean system to help circulate the water, the god thing is you can choose any programme number and alter the spin speed and /or Temperature to suit your clothes.
it also has an express wash for normal stains or a longer wash if needed, plus the usual creaseguard etc.
The main thing i did notice is how quiet it is when it spins and also how little water it uses!!
A good washer allround but not cheap!...

Advantages: Great cleaning quality for such a small compact machine Disadvantages: Couple of design flaws that just irritate
...A Hoover is a Hoover, is a Hoover - Unless it's a vacuum cleaner of course!
Well how many of us incorrectly talk about using a Hoover? When in fact we're just using another Vacuum cleaner - Just one of those idiosyncrasies of life today how a manufacturers name is somehow more associated with the task or appliance being used, rather than its accurate use.
However, in this instance I do have a Hoover! A genuine one. A bright blue one!
So, how about a little about the company:
Hoover began in America, in Ohio. Eventually it established itself in the United Kingdom, and was a major player in the early and mid 1900's dominating the Vacuum cleaning industry. As I've already hinted at, the Hoover became synonymous for vacuum cleaners here in the UK.
Although the company is no longer the major seller of Vacuums in the country...

Purchased this machine from Curry's on 12th April 2008. Found the machine quite noisy on the 1600 spin. The machine has a good load capacity, plenty of features and appeared good value for money. Unfortunately on 10th June 2008 the machine flooded our more
