...Right, those members remembering HooverJuniors, will know they are a bog standard little vaccuum, correct so far. What has changed is the design, gone is the functional practical austere look, this is the new Doctor Who of cleaners. This is the new improved "Hoover with attitude" It looks modern, stylish even, and I dare say designers have been briefed to give it a sort of "In your face image".
While I have absolutely nothing against the idea of a household appliance being trendy, or even cool, I just think that we should keep out feet on the ground. "It is only a vaccuum cleaner" nothing more, nothing less.
Weight is only 3.8 Kgs, very light for this type of appliance. Availability is good, you will find them everywhere. As for the price, do not pay more than £35, this seems an enormous amount of money to me...

Advantages: It just goes on and on, lightweight, parts are cheap and easy to get Disadvantages: No filters means its lousy for allergies, tool kit pointless for little suction. No longer on sale.

He had his...

Advantages: lightweight, cheap, easy to maintain, superb cleaner Disadvantages: can't buy it new any more

The Junior was so successful Hoover couldn't wait to get rid of it - the reconditioning was making a huge hole in the sales of their newer products!
If you're thinking of buying a recon Junior I only have one piece of advice - turn it upside down before you do. If the reconditioners have made it look almost like brand new on the underside...
