Right, those members remembering Hoover Juniors, will know they are a bog standard little vaccuum, correct so far. What has changed is the design, gone is the functional practical austere look, this is the new Doctor Who of cleaners. This is the new improved "Hoover with attitude" It looks modern, stylish even, and I dare say designers have been briefed to give it a sort of "In your face image". While I have absolutely nothing against the idea of a household appliance being trendy, or even cool, I just think that we should keep out feet on the ground.
