Advantages: Small, lightweight, compact, easy to store, powerful! Disadvantages: Small amount it collects before needs emptying.
...This hoover was one of the best buys I have found so far... I bought it from ebay as an ex display model and got it the next day... I undid the box and was really pleased to find a really small, compact red hoover with the pole etc... I took it out, put it all together (really easy) has all button that you press to released the pole etc so that when its in, it is in, it wont come out without the button being pressed... I plugged it in, expected the hoover to be really bad on the suckage part! What I found was completly different! I turned it on (with my foot as theres a big button on the hoover unit that you can tap to turn it on and my rug was virtually sucked up into it! The hoover was so powerful and it did my living room (not very small) within a few minutes and without me needing to go over any areas! Which was a first for me...

Advantages: Small and light Disadvantages: Awkward place for attachments
...I bought this Hoover from John lewis for Around the £70 mark.
After using an old electrolux upright that needed its bag changing, who does that these days!!! I decided a new bagless cyclinder was what i needed.
So after much internet research and a limited budget the hoover was what i decided on. Only having a 2 bed semi i didn't need and industrial sized machine, but did need one that was light and could fit into all nooks and crannies
The hoover was easy to set up and good instructions were included. The vacum can either be used bagless or with a hepa fliter bag , which i used occassionaly and is great for my dust allergy. It has great suction and easily moves form hard floors to carpets with just a flick of a switch in the head, easily done with a foot!!!
The vacum is light and easy to manoover and the hose easliy manages...

Advantages: None Disadvantages: Does not roll easily. Hard work to push. Nozzle nips when using tools.
...I bought this vac because it is 'Hoover' and sold as 'lightweight. But it is the most difficult vac I have ever used. It will not run over carpets easily, will not tilt to go between chair legs - only two positions : Upright or flat. The cable is too short to cope with a single room from one plug. Stairs are a problem because the pipe is too tight to allow the vac to stay upright at the bottom of the satirs as in the illustration. And the join between the tool and the pipe end nips badly. I feel I was conned by the TV promotion and would return it but of course I have used it!
Do yourself a favour - its cheap for a reason!...

I think my household is cursed in regards to vacuum cleaners; we've had 3 or 4 in the last few years (a Dyson, Electrolux, Hinari), all exiting due to breaking down and needing heavy cash to resurrect them.
So, this time we went back to a brand we... more
