Bags.
Bags can be obtained cheaply and easily from any good Hoover specialist. I recently bought a service pack, which includes 8 bags, a filter and a belt for an unbelievably cheap price of £1.00 (usally £9.99 in Comet). The bags are easily fitted and removed literally a 10 second job.
Weight.
This Hoover is not the heaviest of Hoovers nor is it the lightest so it would score 5/5 here. Someone young and able can quite easily drag it up the stairs but for those old or unfit a lighter Hoover would be required.
Ease of use
In general this Hoover is very easily used and would need some of the stupidest people to actually make use of the user guide. As no user guide came with the Hoover I cannot remark on the user guide. All the switches are easily laid out. The ones for selecting the type...

...section for all those silly extra tools that come with vacuums. This means that they don't clutter up the cupboard under the stairs and you can't loose them.
The on button is large, and is supposed to be foot operated, as is the cord rewind button, though these look very similar and I still sometimes press the wrong one by mistake.
The chrome tubing has a plastic hook near the nozzle end that can be slotted into one of the two holes on the vacuum body. This is so your vacuum can be stored neatly in two different positions.
There is a indicator on the front of the body to show how full the bag is and the bag is easy to change.It is also fairly light, 5kg to be exact.
Noise levels
The hoover web site describes it as a "Quiet 73 dBA in operation", and although I don't really understand how loud that translates too it is quieter...

I bought this for my grandma who is getting old and needed something lightand easy to use. I bought this from an ebay shop that specialises in these. I got it very cheaply. Its great because its bagless. I thought only dyson did that!!! Well its pretty... more
