Purchased this about three months ago. The first one was returned as the cylinder kept falling off as held on by a plastic clip. The second one only had a month and cut out due to overheating and a burning smell. Contacted hoover as told to who would not exchange or offer a refund could only repair. Engineer called and said fault was with the filters of which clog up really easy and need to be cleaned at least once a fortnight!! Two months later same problem with burning and overheating and brushes not turning. Told by hoover sounds like the belt has gone which is down to the customer to sort out. On doing so the belt is in tact and the actual problem is that the burning smell was the plastic parts inside the machine that have actually melted due to the overheating and once cooled have welded together stopping the brushes from turning. On contacting hoover they were not interested. Contacted Trading standards told me my rights called Hoover back who then got very abrupt and rude telling me Trading standards no nothing about repairs or this hoover!!!!!!!!
Is extremely poor value for money priced at £279.00. Everything is plastic so either melts or snaps straight away. I found Hoover to be very poor in their customer service area and will not recommend or buy from this compnay again
Hoo*er "products" are generally crap anyway. I've never had any one there things before though. Ian

I think you could have done with including a little more information for the higher ratings here. Take a look around at other people's reviews and you should see what I mean. Happy to re-rate if you add to this, just put a note in my guestbook to let me know when you're done.
