My Dyson dies a death a couple of months ago and I bought a Hoover One after talking to a sales consultant in a high street store who stated that the only competition to Dyson at present is the Hoover ONE. I found the ONE through a wholesalers for £99 + VAT - what a bargain.
As soon as I used it I felt it better than a Dyson - it seems more powerful, easier to manouvere that the DC01 I had (however I haven't tries the Dysons with the ball) and was cheaper.
I would certainly recommend this cleaner to anyone as it is cheaper in every store that I have been to then a Dyson and does as good a job.
The only drawback is that it is on the heavy side so if you are not that strong it may not be advised. The extra long hose allows me to reach all the stairs whilst the cleaner is stood at the bottom, with ease.
In short - a great piece of kit I will definitely buy again.

As below; but also! Ciao is a consumer shopping website which I feel generally gives a better view of things from personal ownership. On here The One seems to have been met with a lot of universal disapproval. Im not a fan of it either having tried it on numerous occassions at friend's homes. More info is really needed here in terms of putting it all together, or taking the bin off for example to empty; does it use a drive belt; parts and quality - whats it like? For me the ultimate upright is a Sebo whilst it uses bags, it is a lot better thought out - and unlike Hoover and Dyson it doesnt use a drive belt that needs to be replaced. Good luck with your One though. Keep hold of the receipt though. If you update your review let me know!
