Advantages: Quiet, low energy consumption Disadvantages: Unusable, as door latch disintegrates after a few hours.
I bought one of these on November 9, attracted by the large capacity and good energy rating. At first I was very impressed - it looks smart, the condensing bottle is at the top so convenient to empty, and it's very quiet. It easily handled the volume of laundry my three children produce and I thought I'd bought a good quality, durable workhorse.
However, after four days the fitting on the machine into which the door latches simply disintegrated, falling back into the body of the tumble dryer and making it unusable, as if the door isn't latched shut, the machine won't operate.
The shop replaced the machine six days later. The same fitting on the replacement machine collapsed after four hour, making the new machine unsable.
Hoover sent out a repairman, who said the component hadn't been fitted properly when the machine was ...
Advantages: Condenser dryer so can go anywhere, B Energy Rated, Clear Door Disadvantages: Slightly noisy but thats to be expected
As you all know we are having a horrible winter this year and its not the time of year that you can do a load of washing and go and pop it on the line to dry, its currently more likely to freeze your washing.

I liked the look of it, especially that it has a door like a washing machine so you can see into it, its also a condenser dryer which is good, I didn't want to have to have a vent pipe sticking out a window letting all the cold air in, it is also B Energy rated which I ...

Advantages: 2000 watt motor, hepa filtration, turbo brush, Disadvantages: A bit noisy, no cable rewind
The Hoover HU4207T is a powerful machine, easy to handle, with built in tools, including a turbo brush which is ideal for stairs, cars, beds. Hepa filtration with no loss of suction.
It states it is kind to your carpets, time will tell on that. I am very impressed with the suction and removal of pet hairs. Having vacuumed the carpet with the old machine, I then used the Hoover Hurricane and gathered half a canister of hair and dirt.
It is easy to empty the dust container, no need to touch the contents, one button to press and out comes the muck - which is useful if you have an allergy to dust. The cannister and hepa filters can be removed and washed.
The Hurricane is fully adjustable for all types of flooring, from luxury thick pile, to hard floor surfaces, there is even an intensive clean option, that have yet to try ...
