We were in crisis when we bought this machine and it started off well. The buttons and dials are clear and simple, and it's quite quiet.
But in less than a year expensive things started to go wrong. First it wouldn't empty out the water so kept filling completely till it all started to flow from round the door seal. I spoke to a couple of repair men about the problem they suggested that it was probably something major and recommended getting it fixed by Hoover themselves (who cost £80appox an hour but the parts are free), except the part that needed fixing was a little tube, but we had paid out £70.
Then it stopped producing hot air when tumble drying, so we had to have the fan changed (another £80).
Sometimes it gets a mood on and doesn't spin properly, so the clothes are sopping wet, and you have to set it to spin again - very annoying.
Just recently it has started to stick at certain points in the wash, so it does the same thing again and again but the wash does not progress, until you manually turn the dial to get it to the next point in the cycle.
We are at the point now (and the machine is only a couple of years old) where we have to decide between paying out for more repairs or buying one that works properly.
