I was firstly tempted to buy this machine, as I do like a gadget or two, and clever technology which can help make your life easier. This machine is full of useful technology, firstly I love the LCD display which is backlit. Each part of the chosen program can be seen on the screen, temperature, spin, dry etc and changed if required. For example the cottons program automatically is set at 40 degrees with a 1600 spin. This washer dryer was delivered in July 2010 as a replacement for the previous model which failed at first switch on. In addition to that failure, I have had five service calls to the replacement machine in as many months. I have now declared the product unfit for purpose. I would recommend that you avoid this washer dryer. I will avoid all Hoover/Candy products in future. It's a great shame because the appliance has a large capacity for a washer dryer (possibly the largest on the market), and on the rare occasion that it has worked it's OK ish - however during the drying cycle it performs a ... more
