(PLEASE NOTE:
The edit was down to me getting the size of the big bag wrong as i stated it was 228g but it was actually 600g.)

Advantages: It's a relatively cheap drink Disadvantages: It doesn't taste great, doesn't send you to sleep
...make good films, and that Horlicks does not make good hot chocolate.
Having hunted around my cupboards for some hot chocolate I stumbled upon a sachet of Horlicks Extra Light hot chocolate which I'd received free a while ago. So, I boiled the kettle, got out my cup, and read the packaging. The design of the packaging is pretty much the same as that for the tub which you can see above, except mine came in a sachet not a tub. There's a picture of ... ...thicker consistency than water. My Horlicks hot chocolate had the consistency of water and a very faint taste of questionable chocolate.
~ The Smell ~
The sachet contained 11g of hot chocolate powder (the average serving apparently), which did fill a good fifth of my cup when I tipped it in. I was debating whether to take some out as it seemed like a lot of chocolate powder, but I decided to leave it. The powder is like any other powder really ...

Advantages: Great taste, low in fat, easy to prepare Disadvantages: none
...bought a 500g tub of Horlicks light malt chocolate,as a change from my usual choice of chocolate drink. Both my stepson aged 10 and I agree that it is delicious. We felt like we were having a real treat. On the label it says just add water, however a good tip is to put two scoops in a mug add a dash of cold milk and make into a paste. Then pour on boiling water while stirring. It has a rich creamy chocolate malt taste and is smooth to drink. I found ... ...drinks currently in the market. The good news is that it is low in fat, rich in calcium and helps restful sleep. There are no artificial colours, flavours or sweeteners and its suitable for vegetarians.
Well worth trying and I personally am converted to this product from now on. ...

Advantages: quick and easy, when you most need it to be Disadvantages: bitter burnt sugar
...After a long hard day at work, there is nothing that I like more than having a long hot bath, snuggling up in my dressing gown and letting the stresses and strain of the day ebb away. Sometimes that bath on its own does not do the trick and I need just a bit of help to make sure that I get a good night sleep so that I can start again when the alarm goes off in the morning
I have drunk HorlicksLightChocolateMalt on many occasions to help me do this. It's nice and warming and does help me get to sleep.
Horlicks is a malt based drink. The original drink was made with hot milk, but a while ago they introduced HorlicksLight that is made with boiling water. It is much easier to use as you only need to boil the kettle and is lower in fat that the original. I am not too keen on the malted variety as it is quite an acquired...

Advantages: Tasty, luxurious, sleepy time drink. Disadvantages: None really, unless you don't like flavour of malt.
...was a hot milky or malt drink every night, and that to me instantly said Horlicks. And so the next day I bought a large box of HorlicksLight, the maltchocolate version, in anticipation of some quality forty winks! You can buy the range in various sized packages, including single sachets, 200g and 400g jars, 500g boxes or even a bumper 1kg bucket of the original drink. Priced from 0.37p to £3.79 accordingly.
Well suffice to say it seems to work, but why? Well a hot milky drink has always been thought of as a good aid to restful sleep – milk is known to contain certain chemicals, which can help induce the complex process of sleeping! Let’s not get too in depth though here!
The drink can be thought of as a health drink really, because in addition to the sleep inducing benefits, a single mugful is a great source of calcium and major vitamins...
