Horrid Henry is a show about a boy called Henry who is always getting into trouble. He pulls pranks, teases his little brother and doesn't listen to his parents. Whilst this sounds like a show unsuitable for children, it is portrayed in a funny way and the kids know Henery is being bad.
My younger brother watches this show and he's always saying 'That was naughty' or 'He's going to get into trouble' and these are the reactions of my younger cousins too.
The quality of the show is good, an episode lasts around 12 minutes, it has a slight repetitve edge to it for example, at the beginning Henry always turns into an animal that represents his mood, when he's angry at his brother he may turn into a dinosaur to scare him. Also, Henry always gets an idea and at this point is surrounded by the same background as he gets it. These are the things children like in a show like the Teletubies 'Again, again!'.
Mostly, in the episodes Henry gets what's coming to him and he gets told off or he isn't allowed pocket money for a week which shows the young viewers that there's always consequences.
Kids will also like there names as they're easy to remember as they have a nickname that starts with the same letter as their name like Horrid Henry, Perfect Peter, Moody Margret etc.
Overall, this show is fun and as long as kids realise Horrid Henry is naughty and his behaivour isn't right, it's a harmless show. I recommend it to the young viewers but no younger than 4 in my opinion as they need to learn to be good children before they can recognise the bad.
