...is a masterpiece to behold. The South Korean Writer Director has set the standard for other movie makers with 3 amazing examples of vengeance flicks.

A deaf man's (Ryu) sister requires a kidney transplant but the man gets laid off work. Ryu come up with a plan to kidnap his ex-bosses daughter but it goes wrong and spirals into a story of violence and revenge. "Oldboy" Winner of 11 Awards including Best Film and Best ... ...Grand Jury Prize at the 2004 Cannes Film festival. Kidnapped and held hostage for 15 years, Ho Dae-su is released, given money, clothes and a mobile phone and left to track down his captors. Ho Dae-su discovers that although he appears to be free, his captor still has plans for him which leads to a stunning finale.

Advantages: An aesthetically pleasing collection Disadvantages: Some rather poor inclusions
...of classic Hammer films from the very good to...not so good. An aesthetically pleasing set for fans of the studio, or those wanting at least half of the titles. Features star favourites Peter Cushing, Raquel Welch, Ursula Andress and Christopher Lee (about whom there is an interesting documentary with 'Scars of Dracula').
The extra features vary greatly, the biggest ommission, in my opinion, is the total absence of subtitles for the hearing impaired.
... ...some for the first time, and completely uncut.
My personal favourite was the inclusion of the 1965 film 'The Nanny' which stars a very chilling Bette Davis in a well scripted, and often overlooked role.
Probably a tad overpriced for most, but new DVD versions of individual films are also available, so take a look at some of those if you don't want to commit yourself to a full collection. ...

Advantages: Something for everyone Disadvantages: It finished :(
BUffy (Sarah Michelle Gellar) is 15 years old when she finds out that she has been chosen to be the vampire slayer. She is given the responsibilty of fighting demons and vampires. After burning down her school gym in LA, she moves to Sunnydale, which it turns out was built on a hell mouth, and attracts vampires and demons from all over the world. In Sunnydale, she meets her best friends Willow (Alyson Hannigan) and Xander (Nicholas Brendon), who ... ...Throughout the seven seasons, buffy fights against an array of demons and creatures and saves the world from hellish fates on several occasions. Its impossible to get bored of it!
It is a brilliant tv programme, filled with horror, drama, comedy, romance and action. There's something in it for everybody - even a musical episode. Sarah Michelle Gellar has also starred in films such as cruel intentions, the grudge and scooby doo. ...
