Advantages: I want this to happen to me. IT'S FREE
Disadvantages: The woman's acting is really crap the rest were fine though
...THIS DVD I FOUND OUT THE COPYRIGHT FOR IT IS OUT-OF-DATE OR SOMETHNG AND YOU CAN DOWNLOAD IT LEGALLY FOR FREE.
So this is one of the original Zombie flicks. It's made in the days when zombies were zombies slow walking and murderous and a bit stupid. Not like todays versions were zombies are running all over the show making us Livies look really unfit. It's all that fruit and fibre people are eating it's affecting their afterlife and all. The plot ... ...attacked by a zombie and the brother gets killed. She runs away and into this abandoned house were she meets this otehr guy whose also running from zombies. He boards up the house whilst she gets on like a wee whinging cow avoiding doing any work and then they find out some people are holding out in the basement.
They then try and survive and escape etc. The main charcter Ben is great and does exactly what you want him to do (you'll see whatI mean ...

They're coming to get you Barbara!
Review of Night Of The Living Dead DVD by
iateamonkey
Advantages: Horror Masterpiece from the mind of legendary director George A. Romero, zombies, blood, comedy - what more do you want?
Disadvantages: Made in the 70s on a very low budget and in black and white, but you can't complain too much!
A true classic, the first part of Romero's "Dead" trilogy is a great start to the series.
Although the budget was low Romero makes the most of the black and white film to add a sense of darkness to a slightly humourous screenplay.
Romero went where no one had ever been before, and haven't been there as successfully since.
Not as good as Romero's fantastic "Dawn of the Dead" or his latest film "Land of the Dead" but still as the first part of the ...

A Classic
Review of Night Of The Living Dead DVD by

Advantages: many
Disadvantages: none
...theses humans action over a night with a gloomy outcome and an unexpected twist.
I have watched this film in both colour and black and white and i must say that it has a much better affect in black and white as it appears more realistic and you are not continually pointing out the poor speacial effects.
This is a film that everyone should see along with pshyco and one flew over the cukoos nest. ...

Flesh-eating zombies....
Review of Night Of The Living Dead DVD by
sunmeilan
Advantages: Well-built suspense, compelling enough story
Disadvantages: Very dated, some wooden acting
Barbra and her brother, Johnny, are taking flowers to their father's grave. Knowing it is getting late, Johnny teases his sister, telling her that a man they can see in the distance is coming to get her. Little does he know that the man really is going to try and get Barbra. Johnny manages to fight the man off, but then is caught himself, leaving Barbra with little option but to run for her life. Finding a seemingly empty house, she barricades herself ... ...Surrounded by zombies, Ben does what he can to protect them, but is it enough? The news on the radio is grim - the whole of the area is infested with flesh-eating zombies, following a radiation leak. And just who are the five people hiding in the cellar?
I am not particularly a fan of zombie movies - I like the occasional horror, but much prefer it Asian-style - that is, minus zombies. However, I received a free copy of this film and knowing that ...

They Only Come Out At Night
Review of Night Of The Living Dead DVD by
3rdRockSatan
Advantages: A worthy remake | Some nice differences
Disadvantages: Script
Night of the Living Dead may not be to everyone's liking but it's certainly one of the horror genre's biggest names. Released in 1968, it certainly stood out, not only for the base subject matter but also the undertones of social commentary running through the film, albeit in a subtle way. It also made George A. Romero a household name and master of the zombie sub genre. It wasn't that surprising, then, that a remake would pop its head up at some ... ...horror film the story of Night of the Living Dead is pretty much well known. Starting off in a cemetery, Barbara (Patricia Tallman) and her husband are making the 200 mile trek up to Barbara's mothers grave. Unfortunately for them they have a closer encounter to the dead people than they'd like. Barbara escapes the shuffling corpses and manages to find a farm house to hide out in. There she meets Ben (Tony Todd) and they pair up together to try and ...
