I find the zombie genre very hit and miss. This, sadly, is a miss. It's not nearly as bad as David Moody's 'Autumn' series but it suffers from a complete lack of originality. The writing is often acceptable but the author has an annoying habit of slipping into the childish for part sentences and full paragraphs. I found this a good read but it doesn't really get going until the second half although it does keep you gripped. My only gripe was that I wanted to know what happens after the story ends. Although nothing is left unfinished it did feel like something needed to be said with regards to how the charcters carried on. Advantages: Scary, cannot put the book down, very easy read!

I bought this book last summer before going on holiday. I always go out and find at least four books to take away with me - holidays are usually the only time that I have to read for pleasure.
