    Advantages Advantages Compact size, great idea in theory, can take up to 12 plates

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Takes a white to heat up, manually rotate plates around, not accommodating for all sizes of plate

    Hostess SW12 Electric Plate Warmer This was somewhat of a spontaneous purchase by me and one that in hindsight, I maybe should not have done. The device can warm up to 12 plates of a good range of sizes (although not every shape is possible), the product also came with claims it could warm up food, although I never tried putting food on it. The product was of a modern and compact fold up design and cost me £27.99 on Amazon UK a few months ago. Appearance The product looks modern and attractive out of the box.     I purchased this plate warmer last year on Amazon at the price of £35.00 it is now reduced to £22.99. I bought this for my 4 weekly family get together where of course I cook. I decided to buy this product after my mother in law moaned her plate was cold one evening. I started searching Amazon for the best product. I found this and it caught my eye because of the price. I read through the description and ordered. The product came packaged in the usual cardboard box package. The product itself looks very basic, but I still think that it looks good.     We have had our Hostess SW12 Electric Plate Warmer now for around five months and in theat time we have not used it much mainly because it is so much hassle and it actually isn't really that good. They retail normally at about £37 I believe but I actaully managed to buy our on Ebay at 'BUY IT NOW' and thought I had got bargain - free delivery too, you see. It looks modern and stylish and people have asked us what it is and been quite impressed when we have told them - but not so much once they have actually seen it in action. It has a small (too small, we think) power motor of only 300 watts ... more
