Gü chocolate puds have to be the best brand since.....the last really, really good brand! The hot chocolate souffles can only be described as divine!
The chocolate souffles are made with 53% cocoa chocolate, so they are just light enough to be still liked by milk chocolate lovers and just dark enough to be loved by the dark chocolate lovers too! They are also served in glass ramekins giving this product, that can be cooked in a microwave, a rather sophisticated feeling.
The product should be kept refrigerated, but shouldn't be frozen, and it should be served hot. Cooking the souffles is extremely simple, and not long to wait either! The plastic lids should be removed from the top of the ramekins and this is how simple it is to cook them! 1)Oven: Take out of fridge and leave at room temperature for 1 hour before cooking. Place ramekins on a tray in a pre-heated oven at 140 degrees C and cook for 13 minutes (or gas mark 3 for 10 minutes) 2)Microwave, one at a time, on high:650W-35 seconds, 800W-25 seconds This means that even those who don't have a microwave can still enjoy these yummy puddings! I personally microwave them, as you can do this straight from the fridge in seconds, and believe me when I say, they taste just as good!
After the product has been cooked, you will notice that the souffle has risen to almost twice the height of the original amount in the ramekin after it had been removed from the fridge. Hot chocolate sauce has risen up into a mushroom shape coming over the top of the ramekin and it looks so wickedly evil, that you have to give into temptation immediately.!
On the packet it says, "Gü - chocolate extremists with a good dollop of fun. This souffle is intense. Lurking below a light chocolate crust lies a rich pool of hot chocolate lava." and I couldn't have described this product any better!
Allow me now to just enjoy one so I can tell you more about the taste...(this is strictly to help you! Someone has to eat these things....it's a hard life! But think about it, it's a utilitarian approach, the greater good for the greatest number of people has to involve me eating!)...experimental reasons, of course.
This product is real chocolate indulgence! It smells really chocolatey, which isn't too surprising, and the rich scent fills your nostrills as soon as it's removed from the microwave. The chocolate sauce is really rich, and smooth, and this is a contrast to the cake, which adds a totally different texture to your mouth. The souffle is really quite rich, but it isn't so rich that it is hard to eat. The chocolate souffles are how a chocolate souffle really should be with a wonderfully vibrant chocolatey taste! The product takes over your senses and leaves you feeling like you are in heaven!
Bad news for people with allergies is that the souffles may contain traces of nuts, but they are gluten free! Also vegans have a problem as eggs and butter are used as ingredients. Also, I'm afraid it's not good news for vegetarians! This is because gelatine is on the list of ingredients! However, if you have no moral obligations, like myself, these are wonderful desserts!
You get 2 chocolate souffles per packet and I got mine from Sainsbury's costing £2.49! Yes, that does work out as £1.24 and a half penny each! I said they were rather expensive! This is well worth paying though when you want to treat yourself, and I'm fairly sure that other supermarkets sell these puddings!
Each souffle comes in a glass ramekin, with a plastic lid on to keep them fresh. These are then in a small, rectangular cardboard box. It is black in colour and says "Gü" in large white writing. There is also a picture of the delicious chocolatey product on each main side of the box!
Each pot is 70g, and is clearly not the most healthy option, especially if you are on a diet. Each 70g pot includes: Energy: 307kcal, or 1282 kJ Protein: 4.4g Carbohydrate: 17.1g of which sugars: 16.4g Fat: 24.9g of which saturates: 15.8g Fibre: 2.0g Sodium: 0.2g
Some of the other puds from Gü include: Gü Chocolate Puds: -Hot Chocolate Souffle -Choc and Vanilla Cheesecake -Fluffy Double Choc Mousse -Chocolate Amaretto Truffle -Cosy Pud for Two -Dark Chocolate, Orange and Almond Torte
To conclude, Gü chocolate puds are the way forward, and I'd recommend them to anyone! The taste and the smell are wonderful, and worth paying a little bit extra for!
Advantages: gorgeous chocolate, warm and tasty, comes with ramekins, usually on offer. Disadvantages: expensive if not on offer, loads of calories, more-ish!
...products ever marketed was the Hot Chocolate soufflé, and ironically enough this is my first ever taste of a Gü product. I hope it lives up to the expectations! ==** Price & Packaging **==
I have previously seen the classic Gü products on the shelves in my local supermarket and have always thought they look very elegant and luxurious. Definitely the type that you would want in your shopping basket. The boxes are usually black and silver in colour. ... ...contains the same 'scene stealing hot chocolate soufflé you know and love'. The box caught my eye for 2 reasons, the mouth watering chocolate soufflé on the front was enough to get my mouth watering and they were on offer in Sainsbury's, 2 boxes for £3. You get 2 soufflés in each box and usually they are £2.99 each, so I got a bargain. I originally thought that £2.99 for 2 was a bit pricey until I realised the chocolate soufflés come in their own ...

...Inside the box are two hot chocolate soufflés, each served in separate glass ramekins. Each one is made with a minimum of 53% cocoa solids. According to the box, they should be kept in the fridge and left out for about an hour before cooking. They should then be cooked in a pre-heated oven (140 degrees celsius) for 13 minutes.
Once out of the oven, delve your spoon into the crust and you will notice that it is quite spongey around the sides of the ... ...in the middle. I particularly like the spongey chocolate pudding as it is slightly moist and very chocolatey, and although quite rich, is not as sickly as I had anticipated. But with all that chocolate, these aren't the most healthy of puddings! Each one contains the following nutrition information:

Protein 4.4g
Carbohydrate 17.1g

Advantages: Really simply fool proof soufle! Disadvantages: You may be in danger of becoming overloaded with ramekins!
Gu pots could well be the most heavenly divine chocolate pud ever!
In a nut-shell they chocolate soufles which you either microwave or bake for perfect results!
You can buy two Gu puds in a box and they are served in glass ramekins (of which we now have over twenty in the kitchen). They really have to be everyone's not so secret indulgence. Tesco price them at just over £3 but I've seen them on other a few times. They contain 53% cocoa so they ... ...have a fluffy texture which is gooey in the center and more cake like towards the bottom. The chocolate sauce has a thick consistency that really comprimises the soufle. The company that make's Gu pots are a German company who also make the fabulous Fru, Gu brownies and cheescake. A really brilliant brand that never fails to produce excellent quality puddings.
If you're looking for a romantic treat to share with someone then head to your local supermarket, ...

Firstly, who are GU? Well, they are the saviours of all chocolate related pudding fans. The lovely people at GU produce a range of freshly made choclate puddings, each made with high % chocolate, and excellent ingredients.
Amongst their current range are: HotChocolateSouffle, Chocolate Truffle & Raspberry Compote, Hot Choc & Toffee Souffle and Cosy Chocolate Pud but i am going to stick to the Hot choclaate Souffle for this review.
