Well, when I visited Milan in February, we booked to stay in Hotel Adam about 4 weeks before we went. We got an offer on the accomodation and paid only £97 for 2 people for 3 nights which I thought was fantastic as this is a 4* hotel. There weren't many pictures of the hotel and I couldn't find a lot of information on it, we didn't know what to expect - but not a lot for that cost!
The address of the Hotel is Via Palmanova 153 Milan, 20132 Italy
The hotel is 6km from the city centre and 4km from Linate airport, we flew to Bergamo airport and it's not that much of a hassle getting from there either.
To get to this hotel all you need to do is get onto the metro on the green line and get off at the stop named Crescenzago. From thios metro stop you can see the Hotel. All you have to do is to follow the walkway under the metro station to the opposite side of the road, and you come out almost right outside the hotel. So this is very useful for getting around and about.
The hotel is on 8 storeys and has 61 rooms. The rooms
have a direct dial phone, and wake up calls are available, these can be ordered via the TV.
Checking in was easy, just go to the reception desk to be greeted by a very helpuful english speaking man, hand in your passport for I.D and they photocopy it and then you're sorted.
When we got in the room we were rather impressed. There was a very large wardrobe, with hangers and spare blankets as you walk in. The bathroom was clean and nice, supplies of moisturiser, shampoo, shower gel, cotton wool, shower cap, shoe mitts, hygienic disposal bags and hand towels were available. There was also a very old style hairdryer that made a racket - but did it's job well!
In the bedroom was a T.V, chair, two bedside tables with lamps, a desk lamp, plenty of drawer space, a minibar, plastic cups and a bottle opener.
There was also on the side an itialian magazine that I couldn't read, a recent shopping in Milano brochure in English and a small guide to restaurants and cafes in Milan. Both of these came in very useful!
We also got a welcome pack, this had a price list for the mini bar, a welcome letter, a questionnaire to be filled in at the end of your stay, details about the breakfast service and room service, a photocopied metro line map.
The TV had pay per view films and adult channels. They were very expensive so we didn't watch any - and hopefully in Milan you wouldnt have much time to be watching TV.
One problem we did find with this place was there wasn't really anywhere to eat nearby, everything seemed to be closed. We found somewhere but it was a good 15 minute walk. There is a few good shop situated near the coop a few minutes down the road. These sell some decent clothes. If it's eating out you want I'd eat in Milan centre itself before going back to the hotel. The hotel only serves breakfast ( a good breakfast too) from 7am till 10am. Throughout the day there isn't any other food available, except sometimes they have leftover croissants from breakfast for sale at the bar. The bar and minibar are very expensive.
The rooms were apparently soundproof, but not very well - being so near the metro it wasn't very loud which I was surprised at, it's also near a main road - still not too noisy. But what was noisy was the man in the next room brushing his teeth and choking and spitting at 6am on a morning! They always left the toilet on aswell - it's a strange kind of toilet flush where you turn it on the off yourself.
There is a laundry service available, a price list is included in your welcome pack. There was no safety deposit box, kettle or trouser press as stated.
There are both smoking and non-smoking rooms available. Our room was very good really but had an iron burn on the floor, and a few scuff marks on the bottom of the walls.
Another thing we were a little baffled by was where the fitness room and sauna were. There were signs pointing to them and then just lots of locked doors after the signs.
The hotel Adam was a 4 *. I would give it 3-4*. There's just a very little bits that could be improved on but for the cost we paid we got it very good! All of the staff we met at the reception desk spoke o.k english. The breakfast was good and the rooms were nice. If I was to go back to Milan again I would definitely stay here again.

I always panic when I can't find out details of a hotel before I travel but it sounds like this one paid off. I quite fancy Milan too!
