Yet another belt buckle in the drum of washing machine production from Hotpoint the AQGD169S is as reliable as it is stylish. With an impressive 8kg (17.6 lbs) load size this machine can cope with just about any household material you throw in it - and on that note Hotpoint took the liberty of installing a duvet cycle as well as a bed and bath cycle. Not only this but the AQGD169S also operates with a super silent wash (perfect if you do all your washing during the night like me) due to its inbuilt acoustic soundproofing.
To make things even more enjoyable Hotpoint have spared no expense in producing an extremely ergonomic design, with 4 personalised memory buttons (making one button operation a reality). To add to its already modern look the AQGD169S even has an LCD control panel which includes a programme progress display. If this is not enough it also has a quick information button, eco-feedback and a Platinum woolmark.
On a more washing orientated approach the AQGD169S has installed: a shirt cycle, a duvet cycle, a bed and bath cycle, variable temperature and spin, a fast wash option, a delicate wash program, an extra rinse option, mini load option and a super wash option. It is also designed to reduce creases. Hotpoint have also designed the AQGD169S with an extra large aperture - for easy loading and a child lock (in case you have any of those little people about the house) and there is even an in-built drum light so that you can see what you are putting into the drum easily. It also has up to a 24 hour delay timer - in case you want the machine to start once you have left for work, in the middle of the night or just when you get home - the possibilities are endless.
The AQGD169S has many unseen features such as a 1600rpm spin speed for that extra rinse power. It also has an A efficiency rating in energy, washing and spin efficiency. The exact values behind these ratings are: an energy consumption of 1.27 kWh/wash; an energy consumption (kWh/year) of 254 kWh/year and a water consumption/wash of about 70 litres. All in all, this is an excellent piece of machinery and I would certainly recommend in to anyone who asked me.
