As I have never had a dishwasher before, my boyfriend suggested I get one, as he felt bad that I was washing and drying everything by hand. With excellent results from Hotpoint with my other appliances we ended up getting one from them FDW60 Aquarius Dishwasher in Polar.
All I can say is WOW...for a start I will never wash pots again, I cant believe I never had a dishwasher before, the results are better than me standing at the sink, I have NEVER seen glasses and stainless steel gleam like that in my life.

When I first tried it I needed help from my other half as hes used one before and I had not. After putting salt and rinse aid in , and put all my things in there and set the setting onto intense wash, let it do its thing and it makes a little beep to say its finished. Well I inspected every bit of crockery and plates and I couldnt believe it, I was impressed, all crockery, plates and glasses were so clean i couldnt believe it.
Obviously heavy soiled pans need to soak and then bunged in the dishwasher, which I did not know about at the time,lol.
Fast forward 8 months and the results are amazing, obviously I have been experimenting with different dishwasher tablets and I think I have sussed out the best one for me and my pots lol.
The only problem I have is trying to figure out how to stack things in the machine properly, its like a jigsaw puzzle for me, It took me 2 months to figure out that the plate rack folds down, lol. Ill get there eventually.
The good thing about this you can open it up in mid wash and add more thing to it (obviously if theres room) and it carries on what its doing.
My brother came down for a visit and saw it working away, I opened it mid-wash to show him, and the end result after it had finished, and he ordered the same model as mine but in granite.

Advantages: Hotpoint has a great warranty and very reliable. This machine has 12 place settings and operates really quietly. It is easy to install if the fitments are already in place Disadvantages: Not as good as our last hotpoint as regards the baskets they don't seem to hold as much

Advantages: Gets some quite stubborn dirt off dishes with ease. Does its job. WELL!! Disadvantages: Drying can take sometime which is a downfall, and would not call this a quiet wash.
