After waiting a very long time for its delivery, I was so excited to receive delivery of my first big fridge/freezer. After having a small, slimline one and having to feed a family of four, you can imagine how inventive I'd become in fitting all my weekly shop into my previous existing space.
Well at first glance, I was over awed at the sheer size of the thing. At 200cm tall, to most of us, thats just over 6ft, I' m pleased to say that I can reach the top shelf (I'm 5'7"). Having had it for over 6 months now, I can honestly say that I'm still very, very pleased with it. Now to the techie bits.
It has deep door storage shelves which easily house a 6pt milk bottle, personally I buy two 4pt ones and they both fit in the bottom door shelf as well as upto 4 standard milk bottles. Also there are four upper door shelves, each can house a six pack of cans. I use mine for all those sauce bottles and condiments that normally float around the fridge. There is a bottle rack in the main part of the fridge that stores upto 5 wine/2ltr bottles. It has the normal salad/veg bins x 2 and a chiller cabinet at the bottom. There are also 3 shelves, one of which is split so you can take the first part away if you wish to store something tall. They are all made of glass and easy to wipe and don't drip through to the lower levels. The only fault I can find with the fridge is that because of its sheer size, it is very hard to make it look full!!!! At the end of our week, the fridge does tend to look very sorry for itself !!!!!
The freezer - well there are four drawers, the top being a fast freeze drawer, the third down being a very deep one plenty of room to fit not only a large chicken, but also several packs of other meats, a leg of lamb, the bag of potatoes, box of yorkshire puddings as well as loads of other bits (I'm currently reporting what is in mine at this moment). If you get my drift, again heaps of room. I also store loads of ready made meals, have dedicated a drawer to the all the kids stuff, and a drawer to bread products, which is currently housing two loaves, a pack of pitta bread, a pack of crumpets, and two ice cream tubs. The freezer also comes with a cool wine sleeve which we used all the time.
The only fault I can really moan about is the service from Hotpoint themselves. They do not operate a freephone number for faults, servicing and I have hung on for over 30 minutes trying to get through to someone. I personally think that the back up end of things stinks which is such a shame as the fridge/freezer is absolutely brilliant.

...fridge or our money back. Hotpoint have said that if we pay another £198 we could have another one to replace the one that is at fault. We must of spent £s worth on phone calls to Hotpoint as there call service is really really bad and they keep you waiting so long on the phone.
They won't give us a new one as they say although the problem is within the machine and they can't get at it, it is not there problem, we say it is, so now we will have ...
