Fabulous freezer with no defrosting exactly as it claims. Unfortunately there seems to be a basic design flaw in that the drawer fronts on ALL drawers cracked within 6 months of purchase simply as a result of normal pulling open of the drawers. Unfortunately there seems to be a basic design flaw in that the drawer fronts on ALL drawers cracked within 6 months of purchase simply as a result of normal pulling open of the drawers. The plastic seems too brittle. All were replaced (but the entire drawer- not just the clip-on fronts...) and for a further 8 months all is well. Yesterday one drawer shattered completely when pulled open- ... ...handle also suffers stress as it is fixed with 2 screws onto the edge of the door frame and cannot take the stress of being pulled open. Showed early signs of snapping off.
Engineer was great although the time period for service was a little long. Actually an Indesit. ... more

The handle also suffers stress as it is fixed with 2 screws onto the edge of the door frame and cannot take the stress of being pulled open. Showed early signs of snapping off.

Advantages: large capacity, silent running, A rated, relaible temp gauge, even freezing, easy to wipe clean Disadvantages: none really unless you dont have space for one
with the two types of freezers meant that when the sales were on and we had a few spare pennies, and the second freezer spluttered and then permanently died, I had a very good idea of what I wanted.
I wanted a large capacity upright freezer, one that I could use to fit an entire month's worth of groceries in when used in tandem with my fridge freezer. I do literally mean an entire month's worth, too. I buy absolutely everything in one go, including fresh milk and bread, all which go into the freezer. I wanted the freezer to be frost free so that I could avoid the faff of defrosting it, and I wanted it A rated.
