The main feature of this dryer is the multi-level set and forget facility, ... ...is with the glass door, Hotpoint decided to make this a pull-open door rather than a catch/lever type, it works well but because the dryer is lightweight, it tends to move about when the door is pulled opened (it's best to use one hand on the machine to stop it moving), it may be okay on some floors but if you have slate as I have, it can be irritating.

Bought this Aquarius + tumble dryer as a replacement for a Hotpoint condenser dryer (that I didn't like for several reasons), this vented model is equipped with every drying option anyone could need and is fully electronic with an array of buttons that light when pressed to show exactly what program has been set, there is also an LED "count-down timer" panel that lights up with orange numbers.
The main feature of this dryer is the multi-level set and forget facility, simply load the clothes select either ready to wear, cupboard dry, hanger dry or iron dry (not sure why anyone would want this setting), press the button and the temp and dry time is automatically set and will switch off at the end with 3 bleeps, you can also use it manually by setting the dry time and temp (high/Low) yourself, other features are a child lock, up to 24 hour (hourly increments) delay start and an airing cycle.
Other features include; a wool cycle, an easy to clean lint filter with "clean-filter reminder light", I should point out this light is simply a reminder and and will still go out even if you don't clean the filter!
The two things that impressed me the most about this this model are: how quiet it is (mind you, after owning a condenser I think most dryers would seem quiet), and how quickly it gets the job done, this is most likely due to the auto sensor built in that analyses the moisture in the drum and auto adjusts the running time.

If you are about to buy a tumble dryer and can't decide whether to go for a vented or a condenser, try and go for vented (only if you have a vent hole in your wall or a window for the vent pipe) as they are cheaper, less expensive to run, greener, quieter and easier to live with.
