The Hotpoint VTD20. Tumble dryer.
* Freestanding - will fit where required.
*Front loading - the door is slightly wider than older models for ease of use. *Vented - requires a hose to release steam during the drying process. We considered the condenser option . However the dispenser based at the bottom of the dryer and virtually the depth of the ... ...start button.
Finally the Hotpoint logo is placed to the lower right side of the door . Boasting the dryer to have "reverse action". To my delight this means less tangled laundry ! The "reverse action" reduces the tangle effect!
( We women are so easily pleased .)
All in all I am delighted with the purchase. I refused extra insurance cover , which is routinely offered when paying for such items. The total cost of the tumble dryer was £169.99. ...

Advantages: Timer delay, finish alarm Disadvantages: Not found any yet
...I had just bought a Hotpoint dishwasher, I thought I would try their tumble dryers. This is a vented machine so is cheaper than the condensing variety.
Advantages:-
Very quiet in operation - much much quieter than my last one - or is that because it is in the garage in the new house, which means I can't hear it!!!!
It has C rating which means it's not the most efficient but it isn't the worst - anyway you have to pay a lot more for an A rated ... ...large opening at the front to stuff your washing in, easily takes a king size duvet cover and a sheet in one stuff!
As with all dryers it has 2 settings, I have found that this machine is pretty good on the lower setting whereas with my old machine I used to always use the higher one.
It has a set and forget setting which I think means if you have economy 7 electricity tariff you can take advantage of the cheaper rate - I do not so doesn't make ...

Advantages: 6kg load, cool cycle, timer and alarm, front opening, reliable Disadvantages: Some people may find it too big - same size as a washing machine
I have had my Hotpoint VTD20 for just over a year, and have used it regularly, and quite heavily in the winter months. I have a 6kg washing machine and can easily get the entire contents into my drier. The beauty of this machine is that it will do delicate items without damaging elasticated parts, and in a reasonable time. If you want to be alerted at while the machine is in use, or when it finishes, there is a timer with an alarm. I have found the ... ...I have dried jeans because the rivets can get extremely hot. The filter is very easy to take out and clean, and the machine itself is an attractive addition to the other appliances in my kitchen. As it is a front-loader it is easily tucked under kitchen worksurfaces, or with an attachement, fixed on top of a washing machine. I had debated about paying the extra (my last tumbler cost £100), but have been very impressed by the ease of use and general ...
