Buyer Beware |

Had a previous Hotpoint washer dryer years age and apart from brushes twice it ran faultless for 8 years.
BUT THEY ARE NOW A RE-BADGED INDESITPurchased a WD440 last August 2007, once I brought it home it did not work, and was replaced with a new one 2 weeks later.
That lasted until Christmas, when a new motor, Epram, and Module was fitted under warranty, well after 3 weeks.Then in August the PCB burnt out, a big hole where the mains connected through poor soldering arking and burning through the board, just out of warranty, fitted that myself. (£92.00)
Then failed again at 14 months this time got so hot I thought it was going to catch fire, lights went crazy door wouldn't open.Took it out and its going to the dump, don't want to burn my house down.
WILL ADVISE ANYONEDO NOT TOUCH A HOTPOINT
made by INDESITAnd dont bother with customer service after 1/2 an hour wanted to sell me insurance and de-scaler for hard water areas.
Didn't care if the machine caught fire, "sorry its out of warranty and mechanical things do break you know"Been out and bought a BOSCH, has 2 year warranty.
