To be honest, although I'd tried other products, nothing compared to my 1st Hotpoint washer dryer. With this in mind, I decided to have a look at what was available in the current range.

...nothing compared to my 1st Hotpoint washer dryer. With this in mind, I decided to have a look at what was available in the current range.
I could have got this model cheaper from online stores including Boots (yes really) but I decided to visit a local shop with personal service and the option of a Saturday delivery.
I questioned paying £50 extra for the machine advertised as Super Silent but I'm glad I did. I live in a flat where my machine is ... ...the same cycle.
Whilst Hotpoint recommend Ariel for the best washing results, I use Daz and have no complaints about the quality of the wash.
I've had the machine for two months now and both my husband and I are very impressed - we only had it a day before I went to work away for a month, so he had to learn to use it pretty quickly! ...

Advantages: Very good Disadvantages: Could get hot in summer.
I bought the silver model, which is the same apart from the finish, which was to suit my kitchen. I got a very good online offer and saved more than £50, buying from Sainsburys Electrical. It was a bit tricky to fit in my small and rather cramped kitchen, since the outlet pipe could not be changed easily for a longer one, due to having a particular filter fitting. I expect that the Calgon is needed more because of this lack of filter on our extended ... ...see it as a problem and perhaps paying for an instalation would have meant a longer pipe could have had the filter, but would have cost a fair bit to get someon out to do it.
The machine is wonderfully efficient, although as one reviewer already mentioned, it can leave bobbly bits on the wash. I find this is best avoided by shaking out the clothes before the wash and using liquid detergents instead of powders. A quick wash takes just over an hour ...

Advantages: Looks great in a modern kitchen, super quiet Disadvantages: Not much help in manual
I bought this washer dryer for my new build house to go in my nice modern kitchen. I decided I wanted all silver appliances and to be honest there are not many silver washer dryers in my price range out there.
I ordered it from boots which surprised me, but from doing a price searh they came up as the cheapest place. You also get a load of advantage card points which is a bonus. They delivered on the day they said they would and put it in place ... ...They will also fit it up for you and take an old one away for a small fee.
I decided that I didn't need them to do it for me as it would be a simple job, boy was I wrong!
The piped supplied with the machine were extremely short, I think they mys have some kind of deal going with B and Q to sell extension pipes! My sink is right next to where it goes and they still weren't long enough. After a trip to B and Q we got it plumbed in and started it ...

...never ever had any problems with it.
I would recommend Hotpoint to anyone, so much so that I bought the other appliances to match.
I do have to say that from delivery to after care was magnificient. I have to admit they do look after their customers. ...

Advantages: Very quiet, displays washing time Disadvantages: Cannot wash nappies at all
...machine is going back to Hotpoint as it cannot wash nappies clean. It leaves stains, smells and bits stuck to them all the time. We are now having to wash the nappies 3 times to get them somewhere near clean. So much for saving energy and water.
We are now looking at a completely different manufacturing group for a machine that can do the job (Zanussi) ...
