Hotpoint WF860 FS

My last washing machine, also a Hotpoint, gave up the ghost finally last year after 8 years of great service. I dreaded going off to the shops to try to find one because as soon as you start looking you get bombarded by sales assistants trying to sell you this one and that one, and overloading you with facts. But when buying my new machine I knew exactly want I wanted 1)a child lock (my toddler was getting quite good at turning my old machine off mid cycle) and 2) one which could take a bigger than normal load (there are 5 of us after all). I thought my partner was having an affair when I heard him whispering sweet nothings in the kitchen. NO He was talking to the washing machine. Brilliant, silent (until the spin cycle), fully informative. Not a dream, but reality ! I couldn't get over just how quiet it really is. For the first couple of washes I kept going back into the kitchen to make sure it was still working. :oD The illuminaed display is clear, however the programs can be a little difficult to get used to, but once you know what you need to do, its simplicity itself.
