Hotpoint WMA64

Does size ever matter? It wasn't something I'd usually spend much time considering, until I came to write this review. This beast is 850 high x 595 wide x 580 mm deep. I had a brief look at the Hotpoint website before writing this (how sad am I?) and in the whole, washing machines haven't really got any leaner, although the average capacity is now nearer 8 or 9 kilos. The WMA64 is 5.5 kgs, which was about average when I bought this, although 6 and 7 were becoming more widely available. What does 5.5 kilos look like? Asthetically it's great. It has a high load capacity and once you've set your most popular type of wash on the computer bit - you only have to press 2 buttons to do the washing! Even my hubby manages with it. Great little features including adjustable feet, I have an uneven floor so it adjusts the height of one side. Childlock is fantastic too. Very pleased with the machine but also feel that it is a high price difference between this and cheaper alternatives. Cheaper models have the same performance but just lack the features i.e childlock, feet..... It seems a lot more to pay just for them ... more

I bought this last year as i thought it was good value for money and i trusted the name brand.. its brillant for child safety as it has a safey lock for the door and the was itself. its brillant as it tells you when the wash is over. there are about ten different wash programmes.as its a 1400 spin your clothes come out half dry. its comes in a treny chrome colour.. the downside th this product with in three month of buying this i was on the phone regusting a enginer to come out and fix it for me. one of the bearings had gone so i coundnt use it.. the enginer said it was common with these ... more

HI all, im gonna be totally honest about any hotpoint WMA washer,they all have the same problems,i work for a large white goods company,and see 100's of these machines fail,heres just a few -bearings -paddles fall out -suspension pegs fall out -noisey -lights stay on and wash stops -noisey motors -fabric no take -scatch door glass hotpoint have made effort to cure faults,they just cover them up,you have a noisey motor on your 6 month hotpoint,wht do they do now,they stick sum sound deadining in so you cant hear it,insted of replacing the motor,thn charge you for there mess up! hotpoint should ... more

front loading wasing machine. i have this in the graphite colour and i have had it for two years. it has a hand wash cycle which comes in handy for my little ones dressing up outfits as most of them you cant put on a normal wash cycle. a child safety door lock,fast forward,mini load,fast wash digital time display ,up to 12lb wash load. energy rating A. pre wash cycle how dirty cycle-normal-light-heavy varible spin ,rinses powerstream wash system max spin 1400. it has adjustable feet at the front to steady. i find it easy to use. a good machine i think its the best one ive had and ive had a few ... more
